Toshiba Thrive

Toshiba Thrive Tablets honeycomb grow to take its sweet time to
reach the shelves. First shown at CES 2011 and announced that he met with the honeycomb tablet, Motorola Xoom, and no official nickname, finally, go to the market in July, six months after CES and four months after the Xoom. Since then, Samsung, Acer, Asus and LG have launched Honeycomb tablets, Lenovo and Sony are the four models on the road.
The challenge for the designs of the Toshiba tablet honeycomb out of the crowd, and do not have this feature highlights the design. Toshiba moves with a battery that can be replaced, and a USB card format, HDMI and SD, which makes it more convenient (especially when viewed alongside the iPad and two ultra slim Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1), but compressed.
Advance in the stages of Toshiba, if not a smooth function in tablet form honeycomb in this review.

DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE

Toshiba
Thrive progress seems difficult, and probably because it is a little "more robust than other 10.1-inch Tablet. This does not mean its better build quality, but only that it would be difficult to maintain the pressure in the medium due to its thickness.
Seen from the front, progress in this competition resembles a rectangular screen with a clock of 4:10 meal, with a thick black border of the screen design and rounded corners. The upper edge when upright has a circle of plastic money in the middle of the house with a two megapixel camera light, an on-board microphone. The edges are also able to replace batteries and light wireless sensor and ambient light to accommodate.
In another attempt to distinguish the progress of the competition, Toshiba was with the back of a semi-hard rubber, which is rounded at the edges. I cannot find the Toshiba range is much better than competing devices, often made of plastic or aluminum. Prosper is simply easier to grip and hold the iPad 2, Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1. Silver Circle has moved to the rear of the house a 5 megapixel camera on the back.
Toshiba's progress is the only type of portable tablets and replaceable battery. Snooping on the back with little force, revealing the depth. Toshiba six-cell battery replacement currently costs $ 90, so not cheap, but the bombing of the money is better to buy a new battery pill no longer hold a charge (which happens to be associated with the tablets, as often not a smartphone). In addition, business travelers can be considered a replacement part to ensure sufficient energy to travel long distance between the loading options. Toshiba also offers a new alternative covers in black, blue, green, red and purple for $ 20 each.
Fastest lap again shows a pattern of blocks, and AC-in, 3.5 mm audio on the opposite side.
The use of SD size card and accessories are great, especially the USB port is not compatible with USB 3.1, Honeycomb housing and working with keyboards, mice, memory sticks and buttons (could not be reached before my hard Western Digital external hard drive does not recognize). If USB is not enough, it also supports USB hub progress. HDMI HDMI is also reflected on the screen, and could be useful for business presentations to come. With full support for the SD card, is to approach the computer is a smartphone in terms of file management (through performance). Yes, some tablets of other support microSD, microSD cards, but I think that is too small to change a machine on a regular basis.
The only complaint may balloon to improve the design of buttons and switches are connected a little "soft and hard / PUSH. Also, some cards are difficult to design the deck lid to connect the front door. Finally, only progress Honeycomb tablet we've tested so far, which comes with the AC adapter for charging. The most imitated smartphone and use of micro-mini cable or USB, but progress has full power to 19V.
Display

unfortunately, the progress screen does not hold and the design and functionality. Compared with the top two screens of pills on the market, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and iPad 2, monitor the progress tedious and not very strong. Maximus is not as bright as the other two tablets, which is not as bad as the brightness of the screen, the greatest impact on battery life can be. Colors tend to be stronger blue / green, and two purple dye iPad.
View is in order, but, like tenderness. Set options for the keyboard and tactile feedback keys Android, but I could not hear, and hear the reactions when activated. Maybe my hands are not sensitive enough.
The speakers are also below. They are strong enough to fill the space and quality of sound is very heavy on the hills. You will not have problems with video chat, but the music sounds much better to play elsewhere. Like any other card, with the exception of the BlackBerry Playbook is the placement of the speakers does not help things. Toshiba is at the bottom, front power button and volume control. Despite the head, move the speakers still sound directly to the user. RIM goes directly to the script so that the edges of the screen actors in the foreground. So far, no responsibility honeycomb tablets were followed.
